Discriminating Christians
“A new command I give you: Love one another as I have loved you…” – John 13:34
You catch that? Jesus didn’t give a suggestion to love one another, he gave a command. And not only does he want us to love one another, he wants us to love one another and HE loves us. How does he love us? He loves us unconditionally. Regardless of our faults, or our religion, political party, sex, skin color or sexual orientation.
“But Wild Wolf, doesn’t the Bible also say marriage should be between a man and a woman?”
That’s true, but does it say to condemn homosexuals? No. Jesus COMMANDED us Christians to love EVERYONE UNCONDITIONALLY! But, I understand if you were brought up to shun homosexuals, and several other kinds of people, but just because you were raised to do something, doesn’t mean that’s what HAVE to do. Don’t be a robot.
Look, we’re all messed up. Every single one of us. Saul mentioned that every sin is the same; that there is no difference between a “little white lie” and sleeping with someone of the same sex. In other words: we’re all in this mess together.
This is why a lot of my characters have been bisexual or homosexual. I even have a lesbian couple who are quite happily married. Yeah, I maybe a Christian, but that doesn’t mean I have to hate everything that isn’t a Christian.
